On Monday we will only have one bus driver. If you are needing the bus please note that the South bus will be 10 minutes early (starting at Villa Market 7:05AM), North bus will be 20 minutes late (starting at Siskiyou Ave at 7:55AM) There is no Mount Shasta stop in the AM or PM.
School doors open at 8am and students may be dropped off at that time.

Our Beautification and Rehabilitation Garden Project has truly taken off! Thanks to dedicated efforts and community support, we are preparing for an amazing spring bloom and an abundant fall harvest.
Through our Extended Learning Opportunity Program, students have enjoyed movie theater adventures, hiking at Castle Crags State Park, and creating beautiful ceramics. And there’s even more to come — a visit to Rescue Ranch for some puppy fun, additional art and ceramics days, and baby goats and farm experiences at Maagic Mountain Farm!
At Castle Rock, we proudly combine traditional education with hands-on experiences, utilizing our natural resources and following the curiosity of our students to guide meaningful learning.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Thursday August 14, 2025
Summer Camp Session 1 starts this coming Monday, June 9th. Regular day is from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM and the after school program is from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. Transportation is provided to school and home from school for the regular day hours. Students attending the After School Program must be picked up by 5:00 PM as their is no transportation home from the after school program. Please click on image for the Transportation Schedule.
It is time to order your 2024-2025 Castle Rock Elementary School Yearbook! Only 20 yearbooks will be ordered at the $15 price, so put your order in quickly. Order forms were sent home last week with students, however, if you did not receive an order form they are available in the school office. Yearbook orders will be on a first come, first come basis. Yearbooks will not be put on hold for anyone without payment. The yearbooks are scheduled to arrive between 6/3-6/6, unless there is some type of delay in transit. If you would like to order a yearbook for your student, please complete the information below and submit it with payment to the school office.

On May 22nd, our 6th-8th grade students will be going on a hike at the Castle Crag State Park Dome.
NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 23rd; Monday, May 26th; and Tuesday, May 27th due to scheduled inclement weather days on the school calendar that we do not need to use for make-up days and Memorial Day.
Wednesday, May 21st is a minimum day with school dismissal at 1:00 PM.
Our Open House is on Friday, May 16th from 5:00PM-7:00PM. All of our families and educational partners are invited to join us!

Our 3rd-8th Grade students will be taking the CAASPP/Smarter Balanced Assessment from May 5th-May 16th. It is very important that our 3rd-8th grade students attend school each day, are on time each day, and get plenty of sleep each night. We want our student to try their very best to how much that they have learned this school year!
Minimum day on Wednesday, April 9th. School dismissal will be at 1:00 PM.
This Friday, April 4th, we will be holding our Monthly Awards Assembly at 9:15 AM. We will be honoring our students that were chosen for student of the Month for March and/or that had Perfect Attendance for the month of March. Also, our TK-2nd Grade Classes will be going to Castle Crags Flume Trail for a Field Trip from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM.
