At Castle Rock, we know our teachers are your child's first introduction to school. We take pride in our highly qualified educators. We employee four fully credentialed, full time teachers for combination classrooms. We also have a part time RTI teacher, Speech Teacher, and a full time Preschool Teacher, who holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Five of our teachers hold Master's degrees in Education. All of our staff work to understand our students individual needs to best help each child. Our small class sizes make one-on-one teaching easier for all students. Read more on our Staff page!
Welcome to Castle Rock Elementary! Our little gem located in Northern California below the majestic Castle Crags! We offer a warm, friendly, family oriented Preschool - 8th Grade, nestled in a beautiful natural setting! At Castle Rock we have high academic standards, a strong focus on outdoor education and exploration, an award-winning media arts program, state of the art wireless technology, league athletics, art, physical education, and much more!
Focus on Outdoor Education
Since our school is located at the base of the Castle Crags State Park, is surrounded by the Sacramento River, and located within easy walking range to many outdoor educational experiences, teachers focus on using our natural resources in their classrooms, taking their classes outside for outdoor learning "labs," or studying water cycles on the banks of the Sacramento River.
