Patricia
Power-Bearden currently teaches the second
and third grade students at Castle Rock Elementary School.
Trish, as she prefers to be called, received her teaching
credential through Sonoma State University in Rohnert
Park, CA. Recently she completed her master's degree in
education with an emphasis in reading. She has taught
at the primary level for over ten years in both Salinas
and Sacramento. Trish especially enjoys children's literature
and looks forward to helping students learn to read. "It's
like watching someone become fluent in another languate.
It's exciting".
"I'm
looking forward to working with the Castle Rock team.
There's a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the
staff". Trish lives in northern Siskyou County with
her husband, two teenage sons, and Bear, the family dog.
