Castle
Rock was established in 1887. It is located in the small town
of Castella, Calif. In Shasta County. It is located approximately
45 miles north of Redding and resides in the heart of Castle
Crags State Park. The beautiful Crags are visible from the
playground. The school also sits along the Sacramento River
which offers many opportunities in the science field. Often,
field trips and nature walks incorporate both the beauty of
the area and hands-on science projects.
Castle
Rock School is a beautifully maintained older school. The
grounds and building are well maintained by our maintenance
staff. Flowers and rose bushes adorn the entrance and the
school has been freshly painted in white and green to blend
with the green surroundings. The entire school is fenced and
offers a safe and carefree environment.
This
is an ideal location for activities. The school sits on approximately
4 acres, which gives the students plenty of room to play.
It is 15 minutes away from Mt. Shasta, 40 minutes away from
Redding and 2 minutes away from the beautiful state park and
Sacramento River.
