Teaching and Education Philosophy

It would be difficult to list all the things required to provide an extraordinary educational experience, but I strongly believe in what Anatole France once said in that: "Nine tenths of education is encouragement." If our number one goal as a school is student learning, then clearly, we must do all we can do to keep our students, motivated, engaged, and empowered to learn. This also fits with Albert Einstein's statement when he says that: "It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."

I believe in the old fashioned notion that it is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the academic and social/emotional growth of young people. Parents and the community put their trust in us to guide, nurture, and educate their children to become responsible and productive citizens who will be well prepared to live satisfying and meaningful lives. Robert M. Hutchins once said: "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives." It is our duty as modern educators to ensure that we to our very best to inspire our students to become life-long learners who value education as a tool for success and happiness. We truly are: "Educating Today's Students To Succeed In Tomorrow's World."
