Castle Rock School
Educating Today's Students To Succeed in Tomorrow's World

Community Garden

The Castle Rock School Community Garden was started in March of 2001. It has twenty raised garden beds. Each classroom is allotted one bed for integrating into their science curriculum. Additionally, garden beds are rented out to the community for their use in raising vegetables, fruits and flowers. The school also has a greenhouse for use throughout the year so that we can continue our garden activities even in the winter.

Much of the produce and flowers grown in the garden are sold at our local Farmer's Market and are used in our nutritional school breakfast/lunch programs, which feature homemade food everyday and are free for each student.
